Add NHMU to the list of things we are thankful for.
Over the Thanksgiving break, Kelly and I took the kids to the new Museum of Natural History in Salt Lake. It is up by the Red Butte Gardens and the University of Utah, a beautiful setting, and it is spectacular! There were so many neat things to see and do there. In the entrance there is a display case that goes up 4 or 5 stories and it is filled with artifacts, butterflies, fossils, dinosaur bones, Indian headdresses, arrows, pottery, etc. It was so cool! I could have stayed there for a long time just to take it all in. You could go out on balconies and see the panoramic view of the Salt Lake valley. We loved the dinosaur digs and flooding the valley to recreate the great Lake Bonniville. The babies were good, so we got to really enjoy ourselves!
