Salt Lake Temple

Kelly, Adam and I went to the Salt Lake temple this week.  It was a beautiful day.  Loved Being in the temple with them.  I was amazed at the beauty of the Salt Lake temple.  Adam described it as breathtaking, I agree.  We enjoyed our session, then took some pictures on the temple grounds.  Thought I'd share them.

Seminary Graduation

Sunday May 20, Matthew graduated from Kaysville Seminary.  I am so proud of him.  So glad he chose to attend and gratuate from Seminary.  I am thankful that our kids have the opportunity to take Seminary as part af their school day (released time).  I have seen their testimony of the Gospel and the Savior grow as they apply the things they learn.
Way to Go Matthew.
Here are some pics from the happy occasion.

Oh- did I mention that Matthew was chosen as one of the speakers for graduation night?  He did a great job.  Mocked his mom just a tiny bit, but I totally thought it was FUNNY! ( Make sure you share a scripture!)  :)

Eagle Service Project

Sam got to work on his Eagle service project this month.  He had previously made arrangements with a hospital to do a project that would benefit them and the children who are staying there.  One of their favorite activities is to paint on pieces of wood.  Sam chose to work on cutting out different shapes for the children to paint.  He organized the project and got the materials and people together.  The end result was over 200 shapes cut out of wood with scroll saws, then sanded and sorted by shape.  He had teddy bears, houses, hearts, stars, circles. dinosaurs, trucks and many more.  Thanks to all who helped Sam complete his project.  He presented the shapes to the hospital on Friday May 25, 2012.

Wood that was donated by a neighbor.
The wood was cut out by adults who had scroll saws and knew how to use them :D

The gangs all here!
Let the sanding begin....no really, sand the wood! Please!

Sanding the sanded pieces.  :D
